QUALITY STANDARDS

STAY UPDATED
When your project timeline is tight, ASC Sunstone's quick-turn service gets prototype and production boards in your hands faster, without compromising on quality, features, or the online quoting experience you're used to.
Fastest available lead time
Layer count supported
Longest available lead time option
Online quoting. Around the clock
ASC Sunstone's quick-turn service is built around a single principle: you should be able to get the boards you need, when you need them, without friction. That starts with instant online quoting, configure your board, see your price, and order without waiting for a rep to call you back.
Quick-turn doesn't mean cutting corners. The same materials, finishes, inspection standards, and process controls apply whether your lead time is one day or two weeks. What changes is scheduling priority, faster turns move to the front of the production queue, and the price reflects that.
The flip side: if your deadline allows flexibility, choosing a longer lead time is a straightforward way to reduce cost on the same board. Same product, same quality, better value.
A note on lead time and price: Just because we can build boards in 24 hours doesn’t mean that’s always the right call. If you can wait a few extra days, a longer lead time option will get you the same board at a meaningfully lower price. The quoting system shows you all available options so you can make the trade-off that fits your schedule and budget.
Lead times range from same-day to 15 business days. The quoting system will show which option are available for you specific board configuration.
For urgent prototype needs. Limited configurations qualify.
Standard quick-turn. Most popular for prototype spins.
Good balance of speed and cost for non-urgent prototypes.
Best value option. Same boards, longer queue priority, lower price
Configure your board and get a live price immediately on waiting, on forms to submit for a callback.
1 to 14 layers supported across all lead time options, from simple two-layer prototypes to complex multilayer designs.
Select your thickness, copper weight, solder mask color, surface finish, and silk screen options at quote time.
Ground shipping included at no extra cost. Expedited shipping options are also available.
Customer service is open M-F 6:30 am to 5pm (PT). You can either call or use the chat to talk to us directly.
Net-list electrical testing is available on quick-turn orders for added confidence before your boards ship.
The online quoting system will flag which options are available for your specific configuration. Designing to these parameters from the start keeps your order in the quick-turn service level without surprises.

Need controlled impedance, blind/buried vias, gold fingers, or a custom stack-up? Those features are available through ASC Sunstone's standard custom quoting path rather than the quick-turn service.
Quick-turn orders are processed with a light touch engineering review, the primary goal is speed, so files are largely run as submitted. This means DFM responsibility sits with the designer. If your files have ambiguities or potential issues, you may want to run a DFM check before submitting, or consider a standard custom order that includes a more thorough engineering review.
Features like controlled impedance, blind/buried vias, gold fingers, plated edges, and custom stack-ups fall outside the quick-turn service. For those designs, ASC Sunstone's standard custom quoting process handles them, you get a full engineering review and the full range of fabrication options, just with a custom lead time rather than the quick-turn schedule.
No. The same materials, process controls, and IPC-A-600 Class 2 inspection standard apply regardless of lead time. Quick-turn boards move to the front of the production queue, they don't skip quality steps to get there.
Yes, electrical test is available on quick-turn builds and can be added during the quoting process. For prototype quantities, it's optional, but for any design where opens or shorts would be difficult to diagnose after delivery, it's worth adding.
UPS Ground shipping is included at no additional cost. Expedited shipping options (2-day, overnight) are available at the time of order if you need boards delivered sooner than ground transit allows. Lead time counts from when your order enters production, not from when it ships.
Any hole larger than 0.250″ in diameter is treated as a cutout rather than a drilled hole. Cutouts, both plated and non-plated, are supported in the quick-turn service. Standard drilled holes go down to 0.010″ minimum diameter.
